Brief History of Metropolis Film Labs:

In 1992, John Rizzo founded Metropolis Film Labs. Its services include 16mm, Super 16mm and 35mm answer prints and pre-print elements. Its specialty is optical blow-ups. While other labs provide blow-ups as one of their many services, it is a central focus of the services provided by Metropolis. In this way, Metropolis can offer specialized service at unbeatable prices. Operating with three optical printers (two of which are always ready for blow-ups), Metropolis Film Labs offers professional service in a timely manner.

In 2002, Metropolis Film Labs expanded its services to include anamorphic opticals. The lab also extended its range of services to include digital imaging and is is now capable of scanning 16mm, Super-16mm, 35mm and recording digital imagery onto 16mm, Super-16mm and 35mm film.
