Preparing Your Film

Your feature or short is submitted as A and B rolls. For Option 2 you may submit the Standard Checkerboard A/B rolls (Figure 1). For Option 1 or Option 3 we recommend you provide Zero-Cut A/B rolls which allow extra frames on either roll and ease transitions between shots (Figure 2).

In all cases, a 16mm or Super 16mm Answer Print is created (Figure 3). This is a first pass used for color timing. After checking your sound mix and picture cuts against this Answer Print, we are ready to blow-up your film as illustrated in any of the three options on the previous page.
